RELAXING & HOLISTIC

A tangent therapy specifically tailored to focus on the wellness of the whole person, ranging from subtle energy work to flowing, gentle, connective massage techniques which can be applied to the tissue depth you like best.  The overall effect is one that simultaneously stimulates and soothes the body, mind & soul.

The aim is to facilitate your self healing process and promote a state of peace and balance for improved  physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness. Often the path to wellbeing is through energy blocks in areas of our body inhibiting wellness.  Sometimes stresses and past traumas of life may be healed and unlock the channels of wholeness.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial Release Therapy is a safe and highly effective form of soft tissue hands-on manipulation that works with the fascial system to enhance movement and functionality in the body.  Myofascia covers every layer within the musculature and actually creates the muscle’s form.  When fascial restrictions are released space is created restoring movement and glide-ability in the body.

The technique is done without lotion or oil and the practitioner sinks into the clients body with their hand, engages the fascia and then does a slow movement that stretches the fascia. The work is done superficial to deep opening up the layers just under the skin first and then working into the deeper muscle layers. As restrictions are released the client will notice that the area is not as sensitive or painful and has more ease of movement.  Often when one area of the body is released it will have a ripple effect and released restrictions, tension and pulling patterns in other areas of the body.

DEEP TISSUE

Working deeper into the muscle tissue through applying techniques that use pressure to assist with alleviating pain and tension,  restoring natural movement and aid injury healing.  The pressure must be at a level that you are able to receive comfortably and the person receiving the deep tissue massage should be experiencing a ‘Good Pain’.
